Today we started sanding our stone carving. There are two types of sand paper one is yellow it help you smooth it out and there is a white one that help you get the indents out.
Today i was looking for my stone carving I had to actually use my eyes for once it was so boring but i found out that it wasn't there. So I just worked on a different stone carving and helped the person that was not here today. Today I outlined my koru and I began to smooth it out with sand paper.
I am kidda proud of my start today and it looks good. Next step for me is to talk nicely to Mr Mitchell and ask for another piece of stone so that I can carry on with my work.

For our group stone carving project we have looked up ideas and have found one that we all like.
it is two koru with a maori stair case engrave into it. To us it means a new life and we have two fern that could represent a mother and her baby a new beginning and new life growth, strength and peace
