What is Whare Tapa Wha about?
Whare Tapa Wha is about a four-wall house of Hauora which is representing four basic beliefs of Taha wairua, Taha hinengaro, Taha tinana, and Taha whanau.


Hauora
Hauora is a Māori philosophy of health unique to New Zealand. It comprises taha tinana, taha hinengaro, taha whanau, and taha wairua.


Taha wairua- Spiritual well-being
The search for meaning and purpose in life, and personal identity and self-awareness as well as the 

values and beliefs that determine the way people live.

Taha hinengaro - Mental and emotional well-being
Means mental and emotional feelings about someone or something. Mental has things to do with your brain developing different feelings.


Taha tinana - Physical well-being
Its growth, ability to move, caring for your body and also experiencing different things.


Taha whanau - Social well-being
Family relationships, friendships, and other interpersonal relationships; feelings of belonging, compassion, and caring; and social support
